Methodology: How We Research and Present Listings

Current status. The directory holds 511 institutions and 669 programs, each checked against official university pages on 31 October 2026 by a first research pass. Coverage is incomplete and uneven across countries and states. Accreditation is recorded as stated on university pages unless the entry cites an accreditor source; APA and similar directories have not been checked systematically yet. Programs whose delivery mode was not stated on the page are marked “Delivery not confirmed”.

Eligibility

A school or program is listed only when an official source supports (1) the institution, (2) the program or school's eligibility, and (3) its location or delivery mode. Missing tuition, deadlines or scholarship details do not exclude a listing; they are labeled “Tuition not published,” “Admission details not published,” or “Current intake not confirmed.” Missing tuition is never assumed to mean free.

Sources

Official university and department websites, program catalogs, national higher-education directories, US government education databases and professional accreditation directories. Other education directories are used only for discovery, never copied.

Degrees and subjects

Degree titles are preserved as the institution publishes them (BA, BS, BSc, MA, MS, MSc, PhD, PsyD and local equivalents). Professional doctorates are shown separately from research PhDs. A program is listed under a specialty only if it is a standalone degree or an officially named major, concentration or pathway, not because it offers an elective.

Delivery and intensity

Delivery (on-campus, online, hybrid) and intensity (full-time, part-time) are separate fields. In-person requirements are recorded as stated by the institution; otherwise “Not confirmed.”

Accreditation and registration

Recorded per exact program, campus, jurisdiction and status with a check date. We do not assume transfer between countries or US states.

Unknown vs. No

Every yes/no attribute has a third state, “Not confirmed,” and filters treat it separately.

Best-of pages

No scores, reviews or outcomes are invented. When evidence does not support a reliable numbered ranking we publish an unranked editorial selection. Sponsored schools are labeled and receive no editorial advantage.

Locations

Country, state and region pages exist only where at least one listing exists. Subject-and-location combination pages are created only when there are verified programs and useful original information.
